Who I Am

As a Ph.D. candidate at Southern Methodist University, I am privileged to be the recipient of the prestigious FINESST grant and University Fellowship. Working under the expert guidance of Dr. Rita Economos and Dr. Matthew Siegler, my research is a collaborative, interdisciplinary effort to advance our understanding of planetary evolution and reconstruct geological history. My passion for geology and education is rooted in major and trace element geochemistry, radiogenic and stable isotope geochemistry, igneous petrology, and remote sensing. I am dedicated to deciphering the complex dynamics of planetary differentiation, magma source evolution, reconstructing tectonic terranes, and the journey of volatile elements.

My professional interests extend beyond research and teaching. I am wholeheartedly committed to community engagement, with a focus on reaching underserved populations. I am currently collaborating with the Educational Service Center Region 10 to create inclusive geology and planetary science events tailored for individuals with intellectual disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, and those with visual impairments. This initiative reflects my dedication to making science accessible and engaging for all.

As a former Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation and an active member of various committees at SMU, including the Graduate Student Assembly and the Wellbeing Commission Steering Committee, I have demonstrated strong leadership and a deep commitment to fostering a supportive academic environment. My efforts have been recognized with Community Service Awards from both Southern Methodist University and Texas Christian University, demonstrating my dedication to enriching scientific and local communities.
